TRI TRACK OPEN MODIFIED SERIES STATEMENT:
ATTENTION RACE TEAMS: Due to the nationwide tire shortage, Tri Track Open Modified Series officials announced on Friday morning that the upcoming event at Seekonk Speedway on Wednesday, June 30, will be an eight-tire race only.
Tri Track races are usually nine tires per team — however — in an effort to prevent potential issues down the line, officials will cut the Seekonk race to just eight tires per team. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but believe this is in the best interest of the series, our teams and our fans for the remainder of the season. We will evaluate the situation after Seekonk and provide an update on the tire allotment for the July 24 event at Star Speedway closer to that event.
To clear up any confusion, Wednesday’s race at Seekonk Speedway will still be a five-tire race for competition. After you have scanned in eight tires purchased at the track, we will allow you to scan in one additional tire from your own inventory, new or used, to make nine tires, if you wish. This means there WILL be the option to change a tire during the race. That has not changed.
We look forward to seeing everyone at Seekonk with a $10,000 check on the line in Speed51 Modified Madness next Wednesday, June 30! Spread the word. 🏁
